Showgoers at Showplace Performance Centre will soon be a bit more comfortable thanks to some new seats.
General Manager Emily Martin says it’s one of the things they hear about the most.
Martin adds that the experience in the crowd is everything to them.
With the new seats, she says the capacity at the theatre has gone from 647 to 615 because of things like sizing and code changes since they were last installed. The new seats also have cupholders, which is something Martin says has been requested very often in the past.
You can ‘buy’ a seat in the theatre to put someone’s name on it, as part of the Act II initiative.
