John Boyko has announced his campaign to become Selwyn Township’s Lakefield Ward Councillor.
Boyko has lived in Lakefield for more than 30 years and in addition to being an author, is also the retired Dean of Social Sciences and Director of Summer Programs at Lakefield College.
He says Lakefield is poised to change more in the next ten years than it has in the last fifty and he’s committed to providing a strong voice on council to help manage that change.
The Trent grad is a former Lakefield Deputy Reeve and Peterborough County Councillor and is the current Board chair of the Lakefield Literary Festival and a member of the Morton Community Healthcare Centre Board.
