OPP are investigating the cause of a fatal crash that took the lives of four people just east of the city.
Officials say that a pick up truck and SUV collided on Highway 7 near Drummond Line just after 5pm.
Four people have been pronounced dead, one person is at a Toronto hospital with life threatening injuries.
Highway 7 remains closed between Keene Road and Heritage Line while members trained in collision reconstruction measure and document the scene.
Anyone who may have witnessed or has video/dash camera footage of the collision and has not spoken with police is asked to contact the Peterborough County OPP Detachment at 1-888-310-1122.
