Peterborough’s Butterfly Run returns to an in-person event April 30th, raising awareness and funds in support of families and individuals who have experienced loss during pregnancy or after birth, or infertility.
To be held at Millennium Park, the event features a one-kilometre memorial walk, a one-kilometre kids’ fun run, and five-kilometre run/walk. Full registration details, for individuals and teams, can be found at https://peterboroughbutterflyrun.itsyourrace.com
Vince Bierworth of the Greater Peterborough Health Services Foundation, a partner in the event, is thrilled the event is being held in-person after two virtual events, noting it’s meant to be experienced that way by participants.
Bierworth says money raised helps in a variety of ways.
While there’s always room for more participants, Bierworth says the response to date has been over the top.
The set goal of $25,000, notes Bierworth, has already been met, with the current total currently sitting at over $40,000 raised.
