It’s beginning to look a lot like summer in downtown Peterborough.
Similar to last year, Hunter Street West between Aylmer and George Streets has been reduced to a one-lane one-way street westbound to allow for seasonal restaurant patio and pedestrian space.
The City has received about 25 patio permit applications to date and will continue to accept applications until June 1st. A patio licence is required of any entity wishing to put a patio on City-owned property. An enforcement process is in place for those who open a patio without a licence or are in not in compliance with their permit.
To apply for a patio permit, applicants are asked to visit www.peterborough.ca and click on the Building Permits and Licences tab.
