Week three of the school year is almost complete, and there are already some sick kids who caught a bug from a classmate.
Registered Nutritionist Lianne Phillipson says the number one thing to do from a nutrition point of view, is to avoid sugar which kills the immune system for hours after being consumed.
According to Phillipson, these illnesses often result from children coming into contact with one another, with the shift in seasons also contributing to this trend.
