The Peterborough Petes made a big announcement yesterday, with the signing of Mike Oke to a five-year contract extension, securing his presence with the team until June 2028. In addition to his existing role as General Manager, Oke will take on the responsibilities of Vice President of Operations, a position left vacant following the departure of Burton Lee.
To support Oke in his General Manager duties, the Peterborough Petes announced the promotion of Patrick (Paddy) O’Connor to the role of Director of Player Personnel/Assistant Coach. Along with his on-ice responsibilities, O’Connor will now serve as the primary contact for players off the ice and will play a key role in activities like the CHL Import Draft, further enhancing the team’s scouting efforts in Europe.
