It was the third time that the Petes would face the Oshawa Generals this season, and the second in as many nights.
The Petes hung on for a win on Thursday night at the Memorial Centre, and were hoping to do it again on Friday in Oshawa.
Not only a couple of big points, which would put them first overall in the East with a Mississauga loss, but, a chance for this year’s Petes to set a record.
Going into the game, they had won five consecutive road games to start the season, which was set by the 1992-93 Petes, and a win in Oshawa would have set a new record.
