Peterborough’s 21st St. Patrick’s Day Parade will transform George Street into a sea of green on March 17th, with the fun rolling from City Hall at 2 p.m.
Organizer Tim Burke says with more than 60 entries already confirmed, this could well be the biggest parade yet. That’s a far cry from more than two decades ago when, during a cable TV taping at the former Peterborough Arms, the parade was a germ of an idea.
The fact that this year’s parade actually falls on St. Patrick’s Day has Burke especially excited.
Burke says the time of year adds to the celebratory atmosphere.
