It is impossible to discuss a list of the greatest Petes players of all-time and not mention the name Chris Pronger.
The Dryden-native spent two seasons with the Maroon and White from 1991 to 1993.
Pronger was at the Memorial Centre on Thursday and told PTBOToday.ca it’s always great to come back to the city.
The big defenceman was eventually picked second overall by the Hartford Whalers in 1993 and went on to play 18 seasons in the NHL before being elected to the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2015. Pronger credits the foundation he learned in Peterborough with helping him become the player he did.
Earlier in the day, Pronger and his brother Sean were at the LCBO on Lansdowne Street signing bottles of their newly launched ‘JRNY Canadian Whisky’. The whisky is distilled and bottled by Niagara Falls Craft Distillers.
