The inaugural Pet Fest will bring together pet owners this Saturday (June 22) at the Peterborough Animal Care Centre.
The free event, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the centre, 1999 Technology Drive, will feature an array of activities for pet owners and their pets.
A dedicated Pet Zone, with a variety of activities such as ‘Sweat With Your Pet’ sessions, a pet ball pit, dog pools, nail trimmings and training demonstrations are among the event’s highlights.
Peterborough Humane Society marketing and communications manager Julie Howe says there’s a certain buzz when pet owners come together with their animals.
Audio PlayerPet Fest, adds Howe, provides an opportunity for those who haven’t visited the relatively new Animal Care Centre to drop by and check it out.
Audio PlayerHowe says new pet adoptions would be a bonus arising from the event.
