The Peterborough Jr. A Lakers secured a hard-fought 7-6 road win over the Six Nations Arrows last night, setting up a decisive fifth game in their best-of-five quarter-final playoff series.
After dropping the first two games, the Lakers have rallied with back-to-back wins to force Game 5, which will take place tonight at 8pm from the Peterborough Memorial Centre.
DJ Clark led the charge with two goals and two assists, while Nick Roode contributed two goals and an assist, including the game-winning goal. Michael Blaymires added a goal and two assists, and Frank Coyle and Nick Crowley each scored once. Cole Gervais was solid between the pipes for Peterborough once again, making 40 saves.
A win tonight would not only propel the Lakers to the semi-finals but also mark their first playoff series win since 2015.
Tickets to tonight’s game are available at the door beginning at 7pm.
