With a mission ‘to provide quality parts to loyal customers,’ Peterborough-based Goodwin Metal Products remains on point, offering a full range of custom machining while also providing machinery repair services to a long list of longtime customers.
Located at 298 Edinburgh Street, the family owned and operated business has a long history, having started in 1918. At the helm is owner Terry Northey, who oversees a small but committed workforce dedicated to the company’s storied tradition of producing parts to specifications as quickly as possible.
Services include, but aren’t limited to driveshaft repair, millwrighting. welding and fabricating, and even metal art with repairs done to farm equipment, heavy machinery and industrial equipment.
Northey, whose grandfather started work at the shop in 1919 and stayed on for a remarkable 72 years, came on board in 1986 while Eric Bovair has been in the mix for 31 years.
Goodwin Metal Products has long served as a vital lifeline for its customers, particularly in the farming community. Recognizing the growing need for skilled trades, Northey is also passionate about encouraging young people to explore these careers, confident that there is ample opportunity for the next generation.
