The Peterborough Petes are gearing up for an exciting new season, with plenty of action and engaging events on the horizon.
As the team prepares for their home opener, anticipation is high among both the players and staff.
The summer flew by quickly, and with the regular season set to begin next week, Adam King, Director of Marketing for the Petes, says everyone is ready to dive into the new season.
This year, Petes fans can look forward to a variety of themed game nights that promise to enhance the game-day experience. The “Big Eight” community nights, including fan favourites like Teddy Bear Toss, Pride Night and Pink in the Rink, will return as staples. Additionally, themes such as Nintendo Night, Superhero Saturday, and Rivalry Night will be added to the mix this season.
King says these events are designed to provide a well-rounded experience for fans, combining high-level junior hockey with engaging and entertaining activities.
The Petes have been busy preparing for these theme nights, working collaboratively to ensure that each event is both exciting and well-executed. King notes that the schedule is carefully crafted to maximize fan engagement and avoid overlapping themes, ensuring that each game stands out.
With a dynamic lineup of events and a dedicated team behind the scenes, King believes the Petes are set for a memorable season.
The Petes will play their final preseason game in Millbrook on Saturday, then start their regular season at home against the Kingston Frontenacs next Thursday. Tickets are still available but are expected to sell out quickly, so fans are encouraged to secure their seats soon.
