As housing continues to be a problem in the city, the local CMHA is celebrating a significant accomplishment.
On Tuesday, officials stood by to view the arrival of Peterborough’s first Garden Home established by a social service agency.
CEO Ellen Watkins says this is a very exciting project.
Senior Manager of Housing and Infrastructure Development, Brent Richmond, gave us details on the home.
This project is the result of the collaboration between CMHA HKPR and Metrosuite with significant support from the City of Peterborough’s Building and Planning Department. The project is funded through financial support from the United Way of Peterborough & District, and private donors/fundraisers including Change the Cycle supporters, 24 Hour Ski Challenge participants and the Peterborough & Kawartha Realtor Estate Association.
