The Peterborough Theatre Guild season continues October 25th with the opening of Mary’s Wedding at the Guild Hall on Rogers Street.
Billed as “an epic story of love, hope and survival,” the production features but two actors – Justine Christensen and Eddie Sweeney.
Director Jane Werger says the story centres around a dream Mary has the night before her wedding two years after World War One ends.
Werger says the play features two themes that are enduringly popular with audiences.
Over her many years with the Guild, Werger has directed both large and small cast productions. She likens the former to being not unlike “crowd control,” noting the latter is a treat for her.
Tickets to Mary’s Wedding, which continues until November 9th with both evening and matinee performances, are available at www.peterboroughtheatreguild.com.
