Peterborough Police are investigating an incident that took place Tuesday night in a north end neighbourhood.
At 11:30 pm, officers responded to reports of gunshots at 850 Fairbairn Street, where several townhomes were struck by bullets with shots also fired into the air.
At a press conference on Wednesday morning, Deputy Chief Jamie Hartnett expressed relief that the incident did not result in any injuries.
Police are now searching for three suspects who were seen fleeing the scene in a black sedan, all wearing black clothing.
As the investigation unfolds, Chief Hartnett emphasized that ensuring community safety remains a top priority for the police department.
Detective Sergeant Josh McGrath, who is leading the investigation, stated that while there is limited information on the suspects at this time, they believe this to be an isolated incident.
