A 27-year-old Peterborough man was arrested Monday afternoon after officers saw him attempting to get into a parking meter with a stick.
Police say the incident happened around 3:40 pm near Charlotte and George streets. Officers discovered that the man was wanted on two warrants for assault, theft under $5,000, and failing to comply with an appearance notice.
He was taken into custody and appeared in court yesterday.
