Peterborough-raised Grammy Award-winning music producer Greg Wells is among the thousands of people severely impacted by the wildfires still ravaging Los Angeles County.
Last week, Wells posted on Instagram ‘I guess Google Maps no longer needs to blur the image of our house.’ Accompanying his post was an image his burnt-out home and recording studio.
In a subsequent interview with Variety magazine, Wells said ‘I think life is supposed to be hard. I’m not sure it’s supposed to be quite this hard, but it could be so, so, so much worse than it is. I know a number of people have died, but the people immediately close to me and my family, we’re all healthy and safe.’
A graduate of Adam Scott Collegiate, Wells won a 2019 Grammy Award for producing and mixing the soundtrack for The Greatest Showman, and has worked with countless music superstars, including Adele, Celine Dion, Elton John, Katy Perry and Taylor Swift, to name but a few. Most recently, Wells was working on the soundtrack for Wicked: No Good
