A 20-year-old man is facing charges after allegedly flashing a firearm during a road rage incident.
Police say officers responded around 11:45 p.m. Sunday to a dispute between two drivers at a red light near Parkhill Road and George Street. One driver reportedly pointed a firearm at the other before driving away.
A vehicle matching the suspect’s description was stopped a few blocks away, and officers conducted a high-risk arrest. A search of the vehicle uncovered a handgun in the centre console, later determined to be a pellet gun.
The accused is charged with pointing a firearm and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose. He was released on an undertaking and is set to appear in court on April 22nd.
