The founder of a long-established Peterborough business is being remembered for his determination to succeed and his building of relationships that spanned generations.
Ilio Turco died March 8th at age 86.
Born in Italy, Turco arrived in Canada at age 22, met his wife Olga in Kingston and later moved to Peterborough where he founded Turco Tile in 1968, which remains family owned and operated at its location on The Kingsway.
When Turco wasn’t running his business, he was an active and proud member of the Peterborough and District Italian Club.
