Phase 2 of the Brealey Drive Major Infrastructure Project is set to begin at the end of March, closing Brealey Drive from Sherbrooke Street to Mapleridge Drive, with local traffic access maintained.
Site preparation work starts this week, but the road will remain open until the closure is implemented. Traffic signals at Cherryhill Road and Brealey Drive will be activated ahead of the closure.
Construction, awarded to Behan Construction Limited, is expected to be completed by the fall. The project includes sewer and watermain replacements, new sidewalks, cycling lanes, a multi-use trail, street lighting, and roadway reconstruction.
Residents should expect traffic delays, and some trees and vegetation will be impacted. Landscaping remediation will follow the work.
