The Petes went into the second last week of the regular season with playoff hopes still alive.
While slim, the Petes needed to find success in all of their 6 remaining games, including their matchup on Wednesday against Porter Martone and the Brampton Steelheads.
Brampton meanwhile were coming off a loss to the Wolves on Tuesday night, and were looking to put some space between themselves and Sudbury for 5th in the Eastern Conference.
