Friends of the Library will celebrate a remarkable milestone this Tuesday (March 18), marking its gift of $750,000 to the Peterborough Public Library since the group formed in 1986.
Among those paying tribute to the group during an 11 a.m. reception in the library’s community room will be Mayor Jeff Leal and library CEO Jenn Jones.
Event chair Deb Primeau, a longtime volunteer with the group, says proceeds from the group’s used book sales have benefitted many aspects of the library.
Audio PlayerPrimeau says consistent community support has been key to the group being able to raise so much money.
Audio PlayerPrimeau says there’s ample opportunity for people to donate used books for the group’s sales.
