Habitat for Humanity Peterborough & Kawartha Region, in partnership with Chemong Home Hardware Building Centre, is thrilled to announce the return of The Big Flip, a community-driven furniture-flipping contest in celebration of Earth Day. Following last year's success – with 46 participants transforming furniture and over 1,900 community votes cast – this year’s competition promises even more creativity and environmental impact. The Big Flip challenges participants to transform a used furniture piece, preventing waste and giving items a fresh, new life. Participants are encouraged to find their used item at the Habitat ReStore and then must document their transformation with three photos: before, during, and after the flip.
