Participants are encouraged to find their used item at the Habitat ReStore and then must document their transformation with three photos: before, during, and after the flip. Whether participants flip for fun or for prizes, The Big Flip is a chance to transform sustainably! "The Big Flip is a great way to celebrate Earth Day while inspiring creativity and sustainability," says Susan Zambonin, CEO of Habitat PKR. "By giving old furniture new life, participants help reduce waste and support Habitat ReStores' environmental impact. "Spring Sunrise" - a concert by the Peterborough Symphony Orchestra
Showplace Performance Centre, George Street North, Peterborough, ON, Canada
A spring concert like no other. Beethoven’s great “Pastorale” Symphony is the main work. It is a journey in music, starting with a walk in the country, some time spent by the brook, a village dance, a huge storm, and then general rejoicing with the return of the sun. Paired with this is Prokofiev’s beautiful and soaring First Violin Concerto, featuring Erika Raum in her second appearance with the PSO.
“Chase the Sun”, by Métis composer T. Patrick Carrabré, is an exciting concert opener describing a frenetic car ride towards the west.
